Youth Group

Equipping STUDENTS to love God and love others . . .

A stellar team brings their creativity and genuine love for youth, middle school and high school, to a weekly large group meeting, and are committed to building long-term spiritually based relationships in small group personal setting.

Our youth groups and activities welcome any young person including friends from school and other activities, and non-believing friends.

We encourage young people to ask questions, explore their faith and make it their own rather than simply a family tradition. We strive to make youth groups relevant to their lives, engaging and fun. We create an emotionally safe atmosphere where individuals are respected, listened to, and taken seriously. Our leaders are glad to engage in one-on-one mentoring, discipleship, and simply being a sounding board; they also share their own lives and hearts as they seek to connect with the students.

During the school year High School students (grades 9-12) meet Sundays from 6:30-8:30pm. Middle School students (grades 6-8) meet Thursdays from 6:30-8:00pm. Youth Group meets in the Youth Room for fellowship, a Bible lesson, small groups, and games. Both age groups can participate in our Sunday Morning Youth Bible Study (SMYBS) at 9am in the Youth Room. Bringing a Bible is recommended.

Taking A Break

Basecamp is pausing our regular meetings for Easter and Spring Break. We will not meet Thursday, April 6 for Junior High Youth Group; Sunday April 9 for SMYBS or Senior High Youth Group; Thursday, April 13 for Junior High Youth Group; or Sunday, April 16 for SH Youth Group (though we will meet for SMYBS that morning). Regular weekly programming will resume after that.

Youth Event - Game Night

Basecamp is doing spending the night together. Throughout the evening there will be food, games, and activities galore. Students will be broken into teams at the beginning to compete in an extended competition throughout the night, proving themselves in feats of body and mind. Or they can hang out and vibe. It's a free a country.

Basecamp is partnering with the Hartford Project to be the hands and feet of Jesus throughout Hartford. We will meet at the Barn, then caravan together to South Church in Hartford. There we will participate with other Youth Groups from across Connecticut in worship, training, and service. We will be partnering with non-profits throughout the city as we seek to be a blessing to the community. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
