Covenant Day Camp is a half-day, week-long experience for children entering Kindergarten - 6th grade. It is an environment in which children have the opportunity to discover that the christian faith is a living relationship with a loving God. Children will travel in small groups (known as Tribes) to different stations where they will enjoy hands-on crafts, games, and activities. Street theater dramas will bring to life the Good News of God's great gift in the person of Jesus Christ. Games will solidify the camp themes through fun and play. Each day will start and end with large group worship.
Our theme this year is Twist & Turns. Twist and Turns is a fantastical celebration of games of all kinds. From classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more, kids will play their way through Day Camp in fun locations such as the Bible Study Game Room, Wild Card Crafts, and Skip Ahead Snacks! But more importantly, they’ll see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him changes the game entirely! Life is not all fun and games—even after becoming a Christian. It’s full of twists and turns that can leave us feeling like we’ve taken one step forward and two steps back. That was certainly the case for Peter. He messed up; he stumbled; he wasn’t perfect. But even when Peter messed up, it wasn’t “Game Over.” God still worked through Peter to help others learn about Jesus. As kids study five of Peter’s encounters with Jesus, they’ll discover that Jesus is holy, trustworthy, forgiving, worth following, and for everyone! We hope you'll join us!
Materials Fee
There is a fee of $65 to offset the cost of materials. This fee covers all five days of Day Camp, snacks and drinks, and the many crafts campers will make. Scholarships are available by request.
Adult Volunteers
To make Day Camp run smoothly we need many adult helpers in many roles both before and during camp.
Junior High and High School Volunteers
Junior High students (going into grades 7-8) and Senior High students (going into grades 9-12) are a welcome and necessary part of Day Camp. Student volunteers can expect to grow in their personal relationship with Christ through worship, participating in a Ministry Team that serves the younger campers, daily devotions, leadership training, and FUN. There is also an optional Youth Trip after camp ends on Wednesday to give students an opportunity to bond and fellowship outside of leading Day Camp (trip cost applies).
