The Mission is the Same... But, it will look different.

Faithful Presence describes the role of Followers of Jesus where they find themselves. It includes evangelism, but is far larger and deeper. We are faithfully present to one another through our Deacons at the church, and we are faithfully present with our neighbors when and where we can - do they have the ability to get groceries? How can we pray for them (if they don't mind that question)? Has their employment been affected? Are they sleeping okay?

And as a church we continue to serve the least of these that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 25. We need more creativity than ever before to reach some of these groups and we will need to do some work. AS you pray and consider, please set up a call or email with the head of our local efforts or with Lead Pastor Matt Blazer

Would you cook a frozen meal? (Deacons)

As deacons, our hearts go out to those in need and distress: those who have suffered loss (loss of life, health, income, and connection). We minister to the everyday needs of people within the church body and seek to include volunteers from within the body in this ministry. We do this in a number of practical ways, including: meals, sympathy cards, provisional support and budget counseling.

If you would like to help us in providing practical helps, please let us know if you can help with meals, driving, or other practical skills.

If you are a member or attender in need, please contact us by email or call the church office. deacons@cpcbarn.org.

Missions

The purpose of the Missions Committee is to provide leadership in mobilizing the resources of Covenant Presbyterian Church to prepare and / or send out those who go forth in fulfillment of “The Great Commission”.

Matthew 28:18-20 – ‘And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.’

The Missions Committee is responsible for recommending to Session how the Missions budget (which is 11.5% of the church’s Total United Fund) will be distributed and is composed of those who have an interest in and commitment to missions. The Barn has a long history of supporting missions at home and abroad.
